Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) in Writers with Award Winning Children’s Author Meg McKinlay

Meg McKinlay has published twenty books for children, ranging from picture books through to young adult novels, and a collection of poetry for adults. Her work has won numerous awards, including the Prime Minister’s Literary Award, the Children’s Book Council Book of the Year Award, the Queensland Literary Award, and the WA Premier’s Book Award. Her latest title is Ella and the Useless Day.

In the 82nd episode of The HYBRID Author podcast host Joanne Morrell, author of children’s and young adult fiction and short non fiction for authors, chats to Meg about her experience with RSI, from first feelings to managing it as well as Meg’s tips for authors looking to prevent developing this type of pain through posture, reducing load, time, pacing, stretching and adopting dication style techniques.
