Young Adult Fiction Author Sarah Epstein on Writing Suspense and Hybrid Authorship

Sarah Epstein is an author, illustrator and designer who grew up in suburban Sydney and now lives in Melbourne with her family. After achieving a design degree and enjoying a 25-year graphic design career, Sarah returned to her first loves of writing and illustrating. Her multi award-winning debut novel Small Spaces has been optioned for film, and her second novel Deep Water also received multiple award nominations and has been translated into French and German. As well as dabbling in short horror fiction, Sarah has recently self-published two contemporary YA novels in her new, Leftover Bay series, with two more novels due to be self-published later this year, including her newest YA psychological thriller.
