School Visits with Children’s and Young Adult Author Deb Fitzpatrick

You’ve written your children’s book, now it’s time to start your school visit adventure.

But where do you start and how do you prepare?

What do they expect of you, as the author, to deliver and what do you expect, as the author, of the school to provide?

In this thirteenth episode of the HYBRID Author podcast, host Joanne Morrell children’s and young adult fiction writer and author of short nonfiction for authors, interviews Deb Fitzpatrick.

Deb is the author of novels for adults, young adults and children. She has a Master of Arts (creative writing) from UWA and a vast experience visting and workshoping schools all across Australia. Here, she shares her tips for first time authors starting out in school visits on how to prepare, rates, after visit feedback and delves into her best and worst moments in the business.
